If I have learnt anything in my entire life, even beyond my career as an educator, is that everyone can learn. It's that learning is not a "one size fits all" and that if we try to force people to learn things in the same way and then worst of all, measure them by the same standards, we set them up for failure. Real learning is unique. In life, your learning journey is specific to you. Yet, our whole school system is based on arbitrary timelines and standardised testing. Sure, there are many children who thrive in school, but there are also many children who leave school, not only with poor grades, but also a diminished sense of self. In years past, children and parents alike have given up because our school system has failed them. And this is exactly why I created T. Garcia Education - to provide options and real solutions for parents and students who are struggling with regular school, to bring together educators who care about real learning and who are determined to bring out the absolute best in their students. And above all, to help people to develop a love for lifelong learning.
